Biography
Ms. Cornwall is currently the Lead Hand for the Surface Water Supply section with the City of Barrie. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all daily operational, maintenance and repair activities of the water treatment plant.
Prior to this role, Ms. Cornwall was a Class IV Water Operator with the City of Barrie and, previous to that, with the City of Timmins. In these roles, in addition to her responsibilities as the Operator-in-Charge and Overall Responsible Operator for large surface water treatment plants, Ms. Cornwall supported and provided guidance and direction to other operators in the event of process and compliance issues, while also leading pilot projects and presenting findings at key annual drinking water conferences.
Ms. Cornwall is a Certified Engineering Technician, with a focus on Environment, Standards and Compliance and has been working in the water treatment industry since 2000. During her career, she has developed and delivered courses on Membrane Maintenance and Repair, Water and Wastewater Monitoring and Sampling and Water Quality Analysis.
