
Manager of Strategic Growth and Planning
Biography
Kara manages the Strategic Growth and Planning department at WCWC. This department plans and oversees market research projects related to evaluating current water professionals’ needs and discovering and evaluating any new and emerging needs. Insights gathered are used to facilitate and inform new program development and optimal modes of delivery and are instrumental in strategic planning and stakeholder communications.
Kara completed her Human Resources diploma from Fleming College, followed by her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Psychology from Trent University.
Prior to joining WCWC, Kara owned and operated her own research company, specializing in voice of customer research for strategic planning and market growth initiatives including investments in product development. She has conducted research for mid- and large-size engineering firms, including projects centered on industrial and municipal wastewater treatment and stormwater treatment, has led community-based research focused on aging-in-place in rural communities as well as research on mental health in the workplace.
