Water Instabilities in Distribution Systems (3 hour) – CEU: 0.3

Participants will gain an understanding of chemical & biological factors that contribute to water quality deterioration within distribution systems.

Attendees will learn about sources of microbiological and chemical instability in distribution and their impacts on drinking water quality. Participants will explore solutions and risks of maintaining chemical & bio-stability.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Review factors contributing to microbiological & chemical instability in distribution systems
• Discuss solutions to maintain chemical & bio-stability
• Describe unintended consequences that may arise in distribution when implementing instability solutions
