Internal Auditing for the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard – CEU: 1.4

Course Overview

This two-day course will train municipal drinking water system owners and operators on how to conduct internal audits. This is based on Element 19 of the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS) under the Municipal Drinking Water Licensing Program.

Day 1 of the course presents the requirements for internal audits. Day 2 focuses on how to plan and carry out process audits. This course will walk the participants through all stages of an internal audit process. Group exercises are used extensively to reinforce internal audit principles.

IMPORTANT NOTE: PARTICIPANTS TO BRING A COPY OF THEIR OPERATION PLAN TO THE COURSE.

Target Audience

This course is for anyone with overall responsibility for the implementation of the QMS, QMS Representatives and Operating Authority employees who have been identified as potential internal auditors.
