Maintaining Water Stability in Distribution Systems – CEU: 0.7

Course Overview

Participants in this course will gain an understanding of the factors that contribute to water quality deterioration within distribution systems. Unintended treatment consequences that may affect the stability of drinking water in the distribution system will be discussed.

Operators will gain an understanding of microbiological, chemical and physical instabilities that may become present in the system, how these instabilities contribute to water quality and how to control them. Participants will also learn how to evaluate, prioritize and control hazards and risks specific to distribution systems.

Target Audience

This course will be of interest to new and experienced distribution operators with a role in maintaining water quality in their distribution system.
