The Walkerton Clean Water Centre is pleased to announce its 2011 Fall Seminar:
Water utilities always strive to ensure that drinking water is safe and acceptable to their customers. In Ontario we score extremely high on “safe” but not always so high on acceptable. The presence of taste and odour (T&O), especially seasonal T&O, is a significant driver of consumer complaints and may undermine trust in municipal drinking water.
The WCWC Fall Seminar series provides an in depth examination of topics of critical importance to the Ontario water sector. Leading experts will be brought in as speakers and the format will allow for meaningful discussion.
“Taste and Odour – Science and Practice” will go beyond the common understanding of T&O and will be practical in nature to appeal to a wide audience. It will survey the most significant recent control case studies, explore the latest research and help you with effective T&O communications.
Senior operators, managers, consulting engineers, regulators, municipal decision makers and water sector researchers will all benefit from attendance at this seminar.
