New Online, Self-Directed Training Available for Water System Operators

The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is pleased to announce a new e-learning course for water system operators, Introduction to Pressure: Hazards and Best Practices. This course was developed to help water system operators ensure a safe environment when working with pressurized equipment.

This online, self-directed course will provide water system operators with the opportunity to review the legislation, regulations and supporting standards relevant to pressurized systems, including responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Participants will be provided with a thorough understanding of the potential hazards of various pressurized equipment used at water facilities, and best practices for preventing injuries. Successful participants will receive 0.3 Continuing Education Units.

Introduction to Pressure: Hazards and Best Practices is an online, self-directed course allowing water system operators to learn at their own pace, at any location that is convenient to them.
