Register Now For The 8th Annual Maintenancefest
The eighth annual Maintenancefest is set to take place August 28 and 29, 2018 at the Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC).
Maintenancefest is a unique hands-on event that allows participants to cycle through six training modules of their choice, earning 1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) over the course of two days. Three new modules have been developed for this year.
Planned modules include:
- Basics of Utility Locates — NEW!
- Chlorine Safety
- Continuous Free Chlorine Monitoring
- Fire Flow Testing
- Frozen Service Connections
- GIS — NEW!
- Iron and Manganese in Groundwater
- Leak Detection
- New Watermain Disinfection
- Pressure Control Valves — NEW!
- Ultraviolet Absorbance and Transmittance

Background: WCWC is an agency of the Government of Ontario, established in 2004, to ensure clean and safe drinking water for the entire province.
