WCWC announces a new collaborative project with the Region of Peel
The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is excited to announce a new collaborative project with the Region of Peel (Peel) for the provision of a customized, water system specific on-site training course. Through joint efforts, WCWC has developed a tailored course titled “Water Emergency Preparedness and Response Procedures at the Region of Peel”. The course will bring awareness of emergency preparedness to all staff directly involved in the operation of drinking water systems and help to enhance the confidence level of Peel’s staff by using the appropriate response procedures to address any site-specific water related emergencies that may affect the drinking water supply. The course is expected to be delivered to approximately 160 participants over a 16 month time period beginning in 2018.
WCWC believes that customizing a training course will help to identify any knowledge gaps and meet the training needs specific to its clients. On-site training eliminates travel costs for drinking water system owners and municipalities and allows operators to remain in their community while they participate in training.
WCWC can tailor water related training courses to suit the client requirements and deliver them on-site to address the needs of municipal, non-municipal and First Nations clients across Ontario. To customize and deliver a site-specific training course at your location, please contact our staff directly at 866-515-0550 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
