Course Overview
This is a live virtual training session with interaction between trainer and participants and there is a class max of 15. Participants will require access to a computer that has internet, a camera, microphone and access to Zoom, Youtube and Surveyplanet (links will be sent by chat during Zoom session). A Zoom link and a digital manual for this session will be emailed approximately one week prior to the session.
This course provides participants with an opportunity to review safe practices when working around pressurized equipment found in drinking water and wastewater systems.
Participants will review regulatory requirements when working around pressurized equipment. Course material will include information on sources of pressure in the industry and hazards related to working around common equipment.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Highlight key safety requirements when working around pressurized water & wastewater equipment
• Identify equipment hazards and related sources of pressure
• Discuss Ontario worker injuries from pressurized equipment and best practices to protect operators
