Leak Detection and Flow Measurement – CEU: 0.7
This course provides participants with a general overview of leak detection, including the causes and implications of leakage. Basic acoustic theory will be covered in order for participants to have a better understanding of leak noise. Various equipment and methods will be discussed to aid participants in pinpointing leaks in locations of unaccounted-for water loss.
Hands-on activities will include using a correlator to find leaks and address the filed issues that arise. Skills and techniques learned in the classroom will be applied during the fieldwork portion of the course.
This course would be most beneficial to distribution operators, but would also be of interest to drinking water treatment operators and supervisors.
