The Walkerton Clean Water Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Kara Rutherford as Chief Executive Officer.
Kara brings a strong background in strategic planning, market research, and organizational leadership. Since joining WCWC, she has led Strategic Growth and Planning, where she has been instrumental in advancing program development, strengthening interest holder engagement, and supporting the Centre’s long-term strategic direction. Kara has also contributed to government relations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the evolving needs of the water sector.
As Chief Executive Officer, Kara will lead WCWC in delivering on its mandate to support safe drinking water through training, education, and collaboration with municipalities, First Nations communities, and system owners across Ontario.
WCWC looks forward to Kara’s leadership in continuing to advance the Centre’s role as a trusted resource for water professionals.
