The Walkerton Clean Water Centre is hosting the hands-on training event in four locations to support drinking water system operators across Ontario

The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is pleased to announce that it is bringing Maintenancefest to four locations across Ontario this year.

Maintenancefest is a unique hands-on training event that allows drinking water system operators to cycle through three training modules of their choice per day and earn up to 1.2 CEUs. Planned modules include:

  • Backflow & Cross Connection
  • Basics of Utility Locates
  • Chemical Dosing Equipment
  • Continuous Free Chlorine Monitoring
  • Frozen Service Connections
  • Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
  • Jar Testing
  • Leak Detection
  • Maintenance of Valves
  • Recordkeeping Requirements
  • Unidirectional Flushing
  • UV Absorbance & Transmittance
  • Water Metering Awareness – NEW!
