The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is pleased to announce a new course for water professionals, Case Studies in Chemical Contamination.
This course will provide an overview of the origins, potential public health impacts and regulation of chemical contaminants. Course participants will study Canadian and international incidents involving arsenic, mercury, aluminum, fluoride, fuel, 1,4-Dioxane and PFAS contamination of source water, treated water and distribution systems. Discussion will include methods and strategies for avoiding and mitigating chemical contamination water supplies.
Case Studies in Chemical Contamination will be beneficial for water system operators, managers, regulatory personnel and municipal officials. Successful participants will receive 0.7 Continuing Education Units.
